Attention crocheters! As some of you know, Sisterhood recently had to cancel a yarn wigmaking event sponsored by the Magic Yarn project. Despite the cancellation, many of you expressed an interest in crocheting at home for this worthwhile group. Besides wigmaking, the Magic Yarn Project is involved with collecting hand-crocheted items such as beanies, tiaras and snowflakes for children with cancer. These items are relatively quick to make and will greatly benefit children going through some tough medical challenges. If you are interested in participating, Ellen Levin will be collecting these items and getting them to Brittany Harrison, the area chapter leader for the Magic Yarn Project, in mid-March. Please bring finished items to the Bet Aviv office (or main desk of the Meeting House if the office is locked) by Wednesday, March 11. Patterns can be found at themagicyarnproject.com. Feel free to contact Ellen Levi if you have questions about the patterns or need more information.
