Bird/Nature Walk

The bird/nature walk will be held on Sunday May 31st at 9:00 a.m. at the Howard County Conservancy’s Mt. Pleasant area.  The walk will be led by Mike Kerwin, a Master Naturalist and an expert birder, having been birding for close to 50 years in many parts of the United States and the world.  Now, he spends much of his free time at the Howard County Conservancy sharing his knowledge and love of the outdoors with school groups and others interested in birding.

The walk details are as follows:

   * We will meet in the Conservancy parking lot

   * Start time will be 9 a.m.; please arrive at least 10 minutes earlier

   * Wear comfortable, sturdy shoes.

   * Bring binoculars if you have them.

   * Download the free Merlin Bird ID by Cornell Lab onto your cell phone, if you are able to do so.

   * The walk will take between 1 hour and 1 1/2 hours.

   * We will never be more than 10 minutes from the parking lot and our cars.

The Howard County Conservancy Mt. Pleasant site is located at 10520 Old Frederick Road (Rte. 99), Woodstock, MD. 21163.
