Please join us for our next Scholar in Residence program. Our speaker this year is Rabbi Richard Address, the founder and director of www.jewishsacredaging.com. You can read about the work of Rabbi Address by clicking here. Rabbi Address served for over three decades on staff of the Union for Reform Judaism. Rabbi Address’ overall theme will be “EMBRACING THE GIFTS AND CHALLENGES OF LIFE’S THIRD AGE.” One session will be held on Dec 12th and another on Dec 13th via zoom at 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Attendance instructions will be sent prior to the session.
On December 12th: “L’asok B’divrei Torah: How Texts Provide A Sacred Foundation for Longevity.” A look at texts from Torah can provide us with a foundation to embrace our own aging from a position of growth, faith, community and choice. We will look at the issue of isolation and our confrontation with mortality, as well as how tradition calls us to never stop growing and evolving.
