Bet Aviv’s Special Events Committee is organizing a visit to the Jewish Museum of Maryland on June 10
Nancy Kutler, a member of Bet Aviv and a museum docent, will guide us to the beautiful Lloyd Street Synagogue (currently under renovation) and through the nearby B’nai Israel synagogue, the longest continuously operating synagogue in Baltimore.
Afterwards, we’ll enjoy an Attman’s Deli and see a film about the history of the area with views of the interior of the Lloyd Street Synagogue.
Following lunch and the film, you will have the opportunity to visit the two current exhibits: Immigrant Musicians Recorded in the U.S., 1916-1966; and The Book of Esther in the Age of Rembrandt.
Carpools will leave from OMI at 10 AM Please volunteer to drive and take passengers if you can. Driving directions will be provided. Free parking is available nearby.
The group rate admission charge is $5 per person. Bring cash to cover the admission charge and lunch.
RSVP by June 1 to bubbier910@gmail.com and please let us know if you can drive and the number of passengers you can take. Questions can be sent by email or by text or phone to Ruth Zlotowitz at 443-904-5514.
