First, for those of you whom I haven’t yet met, I am IPC’s new Outreach Assistant for the Greater Baltimore Region. I work closely with Bonnie Sorak.
IPC has a great opportunity for YOU! IPC is hosting a compost/recycling/trash station at Vegan Soulfest as part of their Less Waste campaign. Vegan Soulfest is a two-day national, cultural vegan food and music festival that’s bringing together individuals from around the world to celebrate delicious plant-based food, amazing music, and a soulfully diverse community. Adopting a more plant based diet is likely the single-most environmentally impactful step each of us can take.
Volunteer Perks:
FREE Admission on the day you volunteer (a $35 value)
$15 Food Voucher – so you can taste some delicious plant-based food for free
Vegan SoulFest volunteer t-shirt
We need volunteers to help cover shifts during the event. It is a great way to build camaraderie within your Green Team and with folks from other congregations. Volunteer on Saturday, Aug 19 and/or Sunday, Aug, 20th. The event will be held at West Covington Park (Baltimore Peninsula) located at 101 W. Cromwell St, Baltimore, MD 21230.
Please RSVP through this LINK, and choose the day and shift you would like to serve. When registering:
check the box that says “Assist event attendees in sorting their compostable, recyclable, and trash items”
be sure to indicate you are part of the Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake team! Students can earn service learning hours for volunteering too.
Here is a link to Facebook Event Page to share with your congregation, neighbors, friends and family. Additional promotional materials are available on IPC’s event page to help you spread the word.
Thanks to those who have already registered to volunteer or let us know they aren’t available. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions I’ll be at our booth on Sat. and Bonnie will be there on Sunday. We hope to see you at the event.
