WBA Program – Days for Girls

Our guest speaker Rhona Arbit will present the Days for Girls program.  Facilitators will be Judy Silver Weisberg, Sue Sternheimer and Ruth Sandberg.

“Days for Girls” is an international program with local chapters educating girls and women about health and wellness. It provides sustainable period products to those in need, which in
turn ensures that their education is continuous. Who among us has not taken a day off from school during this special time? Now imagine if you missed a week of school every month?
Rhona Arbit, a member of the Women of Beth Ami in Rockville and regional leader for Days for Girls will provide some background on this organization. She will then demonstrate how
to fold washcloths and underwear that will be sent to a centralized chapter for assembly and distribution. (We don’t know where ours will be sent, yet) Your participation is vital. We are asking that each of you purchase packages of girls cotton hipsters (sizes 8-16 )and wash cloths. (See links below to Amazon for both items)
