How are your sleuthing skills? Can you identify the correct murderer before he or she confesses? Come to OMI Room 100 Tuesday, February 13, 2024 1-3 PM. It is the 1920’s. The Music of Debbie Friedman
Women of Bet Aviv will present a program on the life and music of Debbie Friedman (1951-2011) given by Cantor Margery Auerbach. We will learn about how Friedman’s music changed the face and sound of Jewish liturgical music. An early pioneer of gender sensitive language, participatory singing and combining of Hebrew and English texts, many of her compositions are now “traditional” songs in synagogues around the world.
