Lunch and Learn
An Introduction to Midrash and Jewish Legends. Beginning on Tuesday, January 3, in the Quad Room at the Meeting House, this ongoing course will be scheduled monthly through July. Rabbi Bernstein will lead a textual discussion on Jewish Legends about the Bible and holidays. The text for the class will be Sefer HaAgadah, (Book of Legends) originally written in Hebrew by Bialik and Ravintzky and later translated into English by William G. Braude. Lunch and Learn
Rabbi Bernstein leads an on-going course, “Lunch and Learn,” on most Tuesdays throughout the year in the Quad Room at the OMI Meeting House. The Lunch and Learn curriculum is currently studying the Minor Biblical Prophets, but will be studying Talmudic tales beginning in November. Participants are asked to bring their own brown bag lunches. Coffee and copies of the text are provided each week. Feel free to join any class session.
