Bet Aviv is participating in Good Deeds Day sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Howard County.  We will be serving brunch.to the residents of the Grassroots Crisis Center.  In conjunction with Good Deeds Day, we ask the congregation to donate the following items to help the Grassroots residents:

  • $10 gift cards to Walmart
  • umbrellas
  • Lysol or Clorox wipes
  • packs of wash cloths
  • Dixie cups

Please bring these items to Shabbat services on Friday April 13, 2018 and we will deliver them on Good Deeds Day.  If you can't make services that evening, you can drop the items off at the office prior to April 13th.

All over the world, hundreds of thousands choose to volunteer and help others, putting into practice the simple idea that every single person can do something good to improve the lives of others and positively change the world.  Help us build a better future in Howard County with a day of tikkun olam. For the past several years, the Jewish Federation of Howard County has organized Good Deeds Day for our area.  Some of the projects for this year include a Red Cross Blood Drive at Temple Isaiah, playground maintenance and classroom painting at the Lubavitch Center of Howard County, and sorting and labeling clothing at Success in Style in Savage.  For more information and to register to volunteer, go to https://www.jewishhowardcounty.org/gooddeedsday
